Books, hot chocolate, snacks and prizes just for reading!
Book Night is a free nation-wide event where readers can get together and share their love of a good book. We will be taking part and would love it if you joined us for some after-hours reading and serious hot chocolate drinking.
All you need to do is bring your book to the Elma Turner Library on Tuesday, May 22nd, between 5pm – 6:30pm, pull up a chair read for as little as 15 minutes. Hot drinks and snacks will be available and we encourage you to bring along any blankets or hot water bottles to make the night extra cosy. There will be a book swap table set up so make sure to bring along any unwanted books or pick up something new or just have a chat to others about what books they are loving right now.
Anyone who takes part in the event can register online (https://www.bds.org.nz/booknight) which will automatically put them in the into the following prize draw;
1st Prize: (16 years and over)
$175 Booksellers voucher, sponsored by Chreos Business Solutions
2nd Prize: (Under 16 years)
Book Pack and Book Discussion Scheme organic cotton tote bag, retail value of $122
Now the only question is what book to bring...
