She Loves to Cook and She Loves to Eat is a cozy queer manga series that follows Yuki Nomoto, a woman living alone in Tokyo who loves to cook big extravagant meals but doesn't have much of an appetite to eat such large meals. She meets her neighbour, Totoko Kasuga, who eats large portions. Nomoto and Kasuga begin having meals together with Nomoto taking joy in cooking large volumes and Kasuga enjoying big portions of amazing food. They become friends and then more.
This was such a wholesome read over the holiday period. The characters are complex and interesting with their insecurities and stories being full fleshed out but it's still a nice light read. The food is rendered gorgeously too and there's a glossary in the back of each volume that explains all the dishes.
