Library Kiosk Collection Point in the City Centre

A Library Kiosk collection point is now open for items on hold and our Click & Collect service. This is operating out of the Nelson City Council Customer Service Centre on the ground floor of Civic House, 110 Trafalgar Street, Nelson.

What can you do at our Kiosk?

  • Collect your holds
  • Pick up your Click & Collect orders
  • Read the newspaper
  • Printing
  • Book a Librarian: a free, 45 minute session with a librarian for help with your device, research, reading recommendations, or any other queries you have. Bookings can be made by through our website, by phone or at the Kiosk. This service is also available at Stoke and Nightingale Memorial.

Photocopying and scanning services are available from Warehouse Stationery.


Please note that items can be returned at the Elma Turner Library after hours book drops 24/7. 


  • The Kiosk will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8.30 – 5pm
  • Wednesday from 9am – 5pm

When should I use Click & Collect?

Click & Collect allows you to quickly pick up a larger selection of books for yourself or your whānau. These books will be chosen by a librarian and available for pick-up at the Library Kiosk. To request items through Click & Collect, complete the form on our website, or phone the library on (03) 546 8100. There is no charge for this service.

When should I place a hold (reserve)?

If you have a specific item or items you wish to borrow, place a hold (reserve) in the usual way. You can do this via our catalogue, our library app, over the phone, or in person at one of our branches or the Library Kiosk. There is no charge for this service while the Elma Turner Library is closed. To collect a hold from the Library Kiosk at Civic House, choose Elma Turner Library as your pick-up location. You will be notified when your hold is ready to collect from Civic House and will have 10 days to pick up the item/s.
