And if you're into science fiction, you can't go wrong with Mary Shelley's classic Frankenstein, the book that launched a genre. For thriller lovers, the year's hottest thriller author Frieda McFadden's The Housemaid is getting some screen time, while Washington Black, by Esi Edugyan which was shortlisted for the 2018 Booker Prize incorporates historical fiction with a powerful coming of age story.
