From page to screen - read the book before you see the movie!
Amongst a host of books making their way onto the screen, we've picked out a few favourites.
Edward Ashton's Mickey7 is an inventive and unique sci-fi thriller about the 7th iteration of a clone who refuses to cede to the 8th - one for fans of The Martian. And if you're into science fiction, you can't go wrong with Mary Shelley's classic Frankenstein, the book that launched a genre. For thriller lovers, the year's hottest thriller author Frieda McFadden's The Housemaid is getting some screen time, while Washington Black, by Esi Edugyan which was shortlisted for the 2018 Booker Prize incorporates historical fiction with a powerful coming of age story. Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club series brings together some of the biggest names in British film (Mirren, Brosnan, Imrie and Kingsley to name a few) to solve crimes at a rest home, while Julia Whelan audio book narrator to the stars gets to see her own name in lights via her romance novelMy Oxford Year.
