Meeting rooms
We have three meeting rooms available for booking.
The Elma Turner Library has two meeting rooms available for public use and the Nightingale Library Memorial has one meeting room available. These rooms are suitable for a variety of group sizes and suit a variety of group needs including meetings and workshops.
All meeting rooms are available for commercial bookings, however, their primary purpose is as a bookable space for community organisations, events and trainings. They are not suitable for ongoing commercial operations.
Rūma Mānuka (Activity Room)
Located at Elma Turner Library, 27 Halifax Street, Nelson — available during library opening hours.
- Weekday availability is limited, the best booking times are weekends.
- The room can accommodate up to 50 people.
- Includes chairs, tables, and WiFi. Projector and whiteboard are available on request.
- Kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities (please BYO coffee, tea, and tea towels).
- Cost is $20.00 per hour. Please note, a charge may apply for late cancellation or date changes.
Nightingale Library Memorial Meeting Room
Located at Nightingale Library Memorial, 2 Beach Road, Tahunanui.
- Available during days and evenings.
- The room can accommodate up to 20 people.
- Includes chairs, table, WiFi, TV, and DVD player.
- Kitchenette with basic tea and coffee making facilities (please BYO coffee, tea, and tea towels).
- Cost is $15.00 per hour. Please note, a charge may apply for late cancellation or date changes.
Pokāpu Akoako (Learning Centre)
Located at the Elma Turner Library, 27 Halifax St - available during library opening hours.
- The room can accommodate up to 20 people and is best suited to classroom or workshop-style activities.
- Includes chairs, tables, whiteboard, and WiFi. Projector is available on request.
- Cost is $10.00 per hour. Please note a charge may apply for late cancellation or date changes.
